Hi, I’m Chelsea, the face behind Spanish Tutor Pro! Raised bilingual in a Spanish speaking home, I’ve always been passionate about languages. With a decade of tutoring experience, I’ve helped 75+ students unlock their potential in Spanish.
My background includes a degree in Anthropology from Reed College, where I also minored in Chinese and participated in language clubs. I’ve even performed anthropological research in a Maya village in Mexico, immersing myself in their culture and health practices.
Now, I’m thrilled to bring my expertise online through Spanish Tutor Pro. I understand the challenges of learning a new language, and I’m committed to creating personalized lessons that make learning Spanish enjoyable and effective. As a Bay Area native, I am proud of my Latin American roots which have nurtured my relationship with the Spanish language. It has been an essential tool in my career as I have been able to serve more people. Whether it be a translation or an organic conversation, it has been a favorable skill.
I have 12+ years of experience in the Customer Service Industry and an A.A. in Psychology from De Anza College.I was placed in Spanish Immersion as a child within the Palo Alto School District and took both AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature in High School.
Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Spain and Mexico and was able to apply these skills in real-life settings. In college, I gained experience tutoring through supporting students in Spanish and Math at a local middle school. My annual travels back to my family’s hometown in Mexico have continued to influence my learning and development.The Spanish language forms part of my identity and culture; therefore, I look forward to sharing my knowledge and helping you reach your academic goals.

Hola! I’m Biby, a native Spanish speaker with extensive experience in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.
I began my studies in the Palo Alto Spanish Immersion program at Escondido and continued through middle and high school, completing honors and AP courses at Palo Alto High School.
In my free time, I love to travel and explore new parks with my two dogs. Having recently moved to the East Coast, we’re looking forward to our first New England fall and winter—many more adventures await!
